Volume 5 Chapter 63, Part 2 Interlude: Huh? What about the hot springs? I want to know
"Still, you and Elizabeth don't deny her, do you?"
Randy, startled for a moment by Catherine's wicked grin, sighed in resignation.
"I don't deny it... well, I haven't properly told her yet."
Airen turned back to Randy, who scratched his head awkwardly, asking, "Is that so?"
"No, well... you see, there are circumstances."
Randy's words were vague, but Catherine nodded as if she understood, saying, "Ah."
"It's not just Elizabeth; there's Eleonora too."
Catherine looked where Ellie had, who had somehow changed and was casting a suspicious buff on Yamada Ice Wolf, shouting, "Yamada! Show me your limits!"
"Awooo──!"
Randy watched Ellie accelerate with a goofy shout and nodded with a bitter face, saying, "Well, yeah."
For Randy, Liz and Ellie were both equally important.
So, he actually wanted to be with all 3 of them forever.
"I want to be together with all 3. I hope both of you feel the same."
Randy, with a wry smile, didn't know that Liz had said, "I want to be together with all 3" while he was asleep that day.
"Then, wouldn't it be better to stay as one body for now?"
Catherine tilted her head, and Randy immediately shook his head, saying, "That's not happening."
"I promised. I will properly regain my body."
Catherine sighed dramatically next to determined Randy.
"So, are you going to give one of them up?"
"I'm not planning on it... but I don't know how they feel."
Catherine sighed at Randy, who looked distant, saying, "You're such an idiot."
"Why are you blaming Elizabeth and the others? You like both, right?"
Catherine snorted and continued, "If you're a man..."
"...then say something like, 'Both of you, follow me.'"
Ignoring the flustered Randy, Catherine watched as Ellie, who had shrunk, returned at high speed.
Ellie, kicking up snow, passed by Randy and laughed, "Wahahahaha!" as she made a U-turn.
She overtook Randy again in a burst of speed.
"Well, it's not like we're in Japan, right? If you both like each other, isn't it fine for both to like each other? Do you really have to hold back?"
Randy muttered, "No..." in response to Catherine's words.
In reality, they had been walking together as a trio all along.
So, it was true that Randy was somewhat scared of breaking this relationship.
However, looking back, the bond they had built as 3 should not be so easily broken.
"Well, this is reality, right? I don't think a fool like you can get a double heroine. That only happens in stories."
Randy returned a bitter expression to Catherine, who was mocking him, saying, "You said it."
But Catherine was right.
Wanting to prioritize their feelings because it was important, he might have been unconsciously pushing the responsibility onto them.
If he liked both of them, he needed to express that directly.
It was cowardly not to say what he wanted before considering what the two of them wanted.
"Well, I won't expect much. If you make those 2 happy, then I might not get kicked down at my peak."
Randy could not respond to Catherine, who shrugged her shoulders.
He could only see the continuation of what he had vaguely thought, "I want the 3 of us to be together." starting to come into focus.
"Thanks. I never thought you would make me realize this."
"I told you. I'm a love master. This is like breakfast for me."
As Catherine showed a smug face, the timing for a break coincided, and the sled came to a stop.
"Lady Catherine! Shall we switch soon?"
Liz, who had returned, smiled at Catherine.
"No way! That wolf is acting all weird!"
Thanks to Liz and Ellie praising it and even giving it buffs, Yamada the Ice Wolf had an unusually shiny coat and seemed to have sharper eyes.
"It's fine. Yamada is a good boy."
"Why is it even named Yamada?"
"Don't you know? Why is that?"
Liz tilted her head towards Randy, but Randy could only respond with "...just going with the flow?"
Honestly, she thought of names like Pochi or Taro, but they felt too ordinary, especially since this is a European fantasy.
After thinking about various foreign words, she ended up with Yamada.
"How did we end up with a last name?"
"I told you, it's just going with the flow!"
While Randy frowned, Liz was patting Yamada's head, saying, "It's fun, though."
"Well, we've gone in circles, should Randy slide again?"
"Yeah, I guess."
Randy nodded and tried to stand up, but he noticed Catherine staring intently at Yamada.
"You want to slide, right?"
Randy grinned, and Leon, sitting across from him, added, "Saintly Lady, it's written all over your face."
"...just a little bit. Really, just a little."
Liz smiled and said to the pouting Catherine, "I'm glad."
And just like that, Catherine finished preparing for ski-joring...
"Take it slow. It's definitely not free-fall!"
As Yamada wagged his tail, Catherine, crouching down, said, "Seriously, take it slow──" just as Yamada showed his fastest acceleration of the day.
"You stupid dogggg!"
Leaving Catherine's scream behind, Yamada dashed away at high speed.
"I wonder if she's okay?"
"She'll be fine. Lady Catherine, despite her looks, has good practical skills."
"Saintly Lady has high basic specs. She's just not motivated."
"Really? She seems clumsy."
As Randy smiled wryly, Catherine came speeding back from the other side.
"Yay! Yamada! You're amazing!"
And she is opening a crazy door.
"Leon..."
"...I think it's good. Brighter is better."
As Catherine passed by, shouting "Yay!" with joy, Leon looked away.
"Yeah, it's good..."
Before he knew it, Randy had become close enough to consult Liz and Ellie.
It's nice not to think poorly of that.
Meanwhile, beyond Randy's gaze, Catherine let out a scream of "Whaaaah!" as she soared into the blue sky.
