Volume 5 Chapter 53, Part 2 Because I'm the Deputy. I'm Strong.

With a smile, Harrison slumped his shoulders and said, "No, no. Please stop."

Still, Harrison's face facing Airen was serious.

"Then, should I be the referee?"

Cedric, who was right in the middle of the two, nodded to both.

"I will decide the winner. No killing each other. Is that okay?"

If someone concedes or faints, the match will drag on with these level of skilled fighters.

That's why Cedric will watch, and when he says, "Match over," it will end at that point.

Both nodded to those conditions, and then they took up their wooden swords.

Harrison held his sword in one hand as usual.

Airen held her wooden sword with both hands.

The air between the two grew tense... "Start!" ...Cedric signaled the beginning.

In an instant, Harrison slipped behind Airen and stopped his wooden sword just short of her neck.

For Airen facing him, it was probably a fleeting moment.

But everyone watching, except Randy, didn't understand why Airen was taken from behind.

Everyone was frozen in surprise at the unexpected result, watching the situation for a while.

"What should we do? If there's no winner, shall we continue?"

At Harrison's voice, even Cedric hurriedly declared, "That's enough!"

Airen, who didn't understand what had happened, turned to look at Harrison...

"Amazing... truly amazing! Lord Walker! What was that move?"

...Airen was pressing Harrison for an answer.

"I thought your eyes sparkled for a moment... oh, I see. The eyes my father mentioned──"

Airen, gazing into Harrison's eyes, pressed him, saying, "Let's do it again."

 "Huhhh? Seriously?"

Harrison leaned back but didn't seem too reluctant.

 That makes sense.

She had seen through Harrison's *technique* in just one match.

For her, this would be a worthy sparring partner.

 "Harrison! Give her another match."

With Randy's words, Harrison reluctantly returned to his original position.

Once again, Cedric explains the rules and confirms, 'Begin!' The second match has started.

Harrison closed the distance again, but this time Airen blocked the strike.

The Knights gasped in surprise at the different turn of events.

With the strike stopped, Airen launched a counterattack.

The sword in both hands drew a beautiful arc, true to its name, as it charged at Harrison.

Harrison, deflecting the dual strikes, seemed to be on the defensive at first glance.

The sound of wooden swords clashing echoed in the training ground, and Rolf smiled next to Randy.

"Victor, wouldn't it have been better to end it in one match?"

As Rolf said, Harrison's tactics have been seen through, and now it's a pure swordsmanship battle.

"That gaze was indeed surprising. Perhaps it's the pupils? Manipulating the pupils freely, creating momentary illusions with just a hint of light. Truly a killer at first sight. Such a terrifying power."

As Rolf said, Harrison's eyes are special.

He has sublimated his unique physique through grueling training, acquiring what could be called an eye technique ability.

The movements of the pupils and the faint light emitted by the eyes.

The greater the skill, the more these create a slight discomfort in the enemy's mind, creating a momentary opening.

Sliding into that opening is Harrison's winning pattern.

"Indeed, now that his eye technique has been seen through, Lady Airen's class could come up with countless countermeasures."

As Randy said, Airen is no longer affected by Harrison's eye technique.

"However... don't think that just because of that, I can entrust him as our Deputy."

With a sly smile, Harrison's body slightly swayed in front of Randy.

"We are also a meritocracy. The reason he's Deputy is simply because he's strong. Stronger than anyone... of course, without the eye technique."

In response to Randy's words, Harrison's wooden sword knocked Airen's wooden sword away.

The unexpected strength disrupted Airen's stance.

Airen grimaced as she pulled back the wooden sword, but in her disordered stance, she couldn't counterattack.

The offense and defense switched in an instant.

Harrison's swinging sword was barely blocked by Airen with 2 wooden swords.

It's different from a simple rush.

It's a nasty flurry, just like Harrison.

In short, it's a flurry skillfully mixed with feints, but it's Harrison, who knows the void well, unleashing it.

Airen skillfully maneuvers 2 wooden swords, barely fending off the onslaught, but her face looks incredibly troubled.

Still, for Randy, it's impressive how Airen keeps up with Harrison's fluid movements.

A typical user would have been cut down after that deflection.

Although several strikes have already grazed her, Airen, facing Harrison, has yet to land a solid hit and has taken a significant step back.

 "Strong, indeed. Unbelievably strong..."

Airen laughed happily and returned a smile to Harrison, who appeared right in front of Airen.

The tip of the blade is thrust forward.

In front of it, Airen takes a backstep.

Harrison follows with a sweeping kick.

 "Ah..."

As Airen lets out a sound and falls on her rear, Harrison's blade tip stops right in front of Airen's forehead.

 "That's enough! ...Winner, Harrison Walker."

With the victory announcement, Harrison helps Airen up and bows, and Airen returns the gesture to Harrison.

In the middle of the training ground, the two exchanged handshakes and words, and Rolf nodded in satisfaction, saying, 'I see.'

"A sword fight interwoven with reality and illusion. I never expected a sword technique that creates an illusion within reality..."

Rolf, arms crossed, looked at Harrison and nodded again, saying, 'Interesting man.'

"Lady Airen is also a terrifying user. There's no one in our ranks who can hold out against Harrison like that."

Randy shook his head, thinking of someone like Luke.

But even Luke is currently on a business trip to Hartfield.

It's uncertain who is stronger between Harrison and Luke, but neither can break away from right behind Randy.

"It was truly a good training session and match."

All eyes gathered on Rolf as he stood up.

It seems Rolf is satisfied with Harrison's fight, and Randy feels relieved as Rolf turns around and grins.

"Well then, Lord Victor. Shall I let you experience the true strength of Waldner?"

Only a fierce smile reveals it.

Randy sighed inwardly, realizing that it was saying, "Let's fight."
