Volume 2 Chapter 58 The Hero's Last Ditch Effort
I repelled the attacking hero.
Lying in the grass, with a broken sword in hand, is the hero Makhen.
"Damn, damn, damn! This can't be happening! I am the chosen oneee!"
Makhen holds the broken greatsword and turns the blade toward himself.
"Greatsword of Gluttony, devour me!"
Slash!
The sword pierces Makhen's body.
'What's with him? Is he going to kill himself out of despair? Yay, it's over──wait, what!? What on earth is that!?'
The fairy Lilin looks up and shouts.
Pierced by the greatsword of gluttony, Makhen's body begins to transform.
He transforms into a monstrous, huge, grotesque boar.
'It's a pig! A hideous pig! Demon Lord, take it down!'
'Sister, step back! Don't interfere with the Demon Lord!'
The boar is so large that I can't even see its face just by looking up.
Gwooo!
It raises its giant foot, trying to crush me.
With the [Flight] skill acquired from joining the fire dragon, I leap into the air.
'Gwahahah! How do you like me now, Demon Lord? This is my form, empowered by gluttony!'
'That's disgusting! You look way more like a Demon Lord than that pig!'
After being insulted by Lilin, veins bulge on Makhen's forehead.
'Don't get cocky, you worthless trash! I'll consume everything!'
The monstrous boar opens its mouth wide.
So wide, it seems its jaw might break.
Then, all at once, it begins to suck in air.
'Whaaaaaat! I'm being sucked in!'
'What incredible sucking power...! The earth and the forest... wait!? It's even sucking in the walls that separate worlds!'
The fairy world apparently exists in a different dimension from where we live.
This gluttonous monster dares to consume even the barriers of space that separate the two.
'Demon Lord! If this continues, he will swallow the human realm too!'
'Demon Lord! If he continues like this, he will even engulf the land of humanity!'
'Nooooooo! There"s no escape!'
"It's fine, no problem."
I kicked off the ground and flew towards the gluttonous monster.
'Demon Lord!?'
'Waaaaah! What are you doing, Demon Lord!? You're going to let yourself get eaten! What, is this suicide!? Stop! If you're going to die, at least kill this monster first!'
I need to not worry the fairy siblings too much.
I was being sucked into Makhen's mouth.
'Gyaaaaaah! I won! I finally defeated the Demon Lorddd!'
The monster let out a triumphant roar.
'My mouth is now a different world! Once you're sucked in, it's all over! You'll never return to the outside world! It's the end! Demon Lord! I've won!'
And it was then.
Crack...
A holy light shone within the monster's belly.
'What!? What is this... My stomach... gu, guooooo!'
With a loud noise, the monster's body exploded.
Swallowed by the sacred light, the giant gluttony beast turns into ashes.
And there was no dust left afterwards.
'Demon Lord! Thank you very much!'
'Uhhh! Mr. Demon Lord, you know, killing such a monster in an instant! I-I truly believed in winning!'
Lilin's head gives a chop.
"I was worried about you."
'Demon Lord... how did you defeat him?'
"Hand of God is the world's best healing magic. The power of healing is Poison for demons. In his belly, he has to bear the fatal poison (Healing Magic) that exceeds the capacity of his belly, and endures it. It couldn't be broken and exploded."
'I see! Amazing! It's Demon Lord, as expected!'
