Volume 2 Chapter 25 Request for Rescue from an S, Part Rank Adventurer
I have been recognized for my abilities by the guild master.
At that moment, I was heading back to the guild hall to immediately go to the labyrinth.
"Please! Someone help me! My companions are in danger!"
A woman's painful scream echoed within the guild.
"It's noisy at the entrance; I wonder what happened?"
I headed towards the commotion with Chippy and the guild master.
There stood a female adventurer in light armor.
She was a beautiful girl with pink hair, but blood covered her body, her left arm was missing, and her right leg was broken.
"[Cecily]! What happened!?"
The guild master approached the adventurer Cecily, looking pale.
"Guild master! It's serious! A [Hidden Dungeon] has been discovered!"
"What!? A hidden dungeon!?"
Chippy and I tilted our heads in confusion.
"Guild master, what is that?"
"It is an extremely high-difficulty labyrinth that is sometimes found within dungeons. I've heard the traps and monsters are on another level... I can't believe it was found..."
Cecily said with gritted teeth.
"We, the [Silver-Winged Karma], discovered the hidden dungeon and attempted to explore it. But... we encountered a massive horde of monsters."
It was said that the number was beyond what they could handle.
To save her companions, Cecily was sent alone to call for reinforcements from the guild.
"A lot of time has passed... We have to hurry and help them! Please! Someone lend a hand!"
Cecily's words... but everyone looked down.
"...[Silver-Winged Karma] is the top group of powerful individuals among us, right?"
"...If they couldn't handle it, that means the hidden dungeon is incredibly dangerous."
"...If we go, it's like going to our deaths."
No one was willing to volunteer.
"Why!? If this continues, my companions will die!? Isn't it the adventurers' duty to help those in trouble!?"
"Cecily... understand. There is no one in this guild who can defeat the enemies that even you cannot."
"W-What... then..."
"Give up. Your companions will probably be glad that at least you are safe."
With a thud, Cecily knelt and cried.
"Everyone... I'm sorry..."
I couldn't bear to see her like that, so I go to her side.
"I'll go."
Rustle... the surroundings buzz.
"R-Really!? Thank you!"
Cecily said with a bright expression.
"Wait a minute!"
At that moment, Makhen approached, indignant.
"What's a rookie adventurer doing acting so high and mighty!?"
Eh...!?
Cecily exclaimed, her eyes widening.
"You're certainly strong, but you're not suited to handle a hidden dungeon! Know your place and back off!"
Hah... I sighed and ignored him, speaking to Cecily.
"Time is precious. Guide me."
"B-but... you're... a new adventurer... it's impossible... you'll just die..."
I used Hand of God to heal her wounds in an instant.
"A-amazing! You healed this wound instantly, and even my lost arm!?"
Rustle... everyone was surprised by what I did.
"Hmm, perhaps Zeke can actually do it. Alright, go!"
"Got it. Can you stand?"
I reached out to Cecily and helped her stand up.
"Can you visualize the location of the labyrinth in your head?"
"Y-yes... but what are you going to do?"
"We'll teleport there."
"W-wait, teleportation magic!? You can't possibly use such high-level magic...!"
I called Chippy closer and used teleportation based on Cecily's image.
Basically, teleportation magic can only take you to places you have been before.
But now that I've become an Overlord, I can teleport to places I've never been, albeit limited.
"N-no way! You got us to the entrance of the labyrinth in an instant!?"
Cecily was so shocked, she fell over on the spot.
"It seems the paths within the hidden dungeon change randomly, so teleportation won't work there."
"You really know that, Zeke! Amazing!"
Chippy tightly gripped my arm and said.
"W-what are you... exactly...!?"
I replied to Cecily, whose voice was trembling.
"I'm just a rookie adventurer. Now, let's go!"
