The king had come to retrieve Zeke with the protection of knights.

A beastman guard pointed a spear at the king, warning him.

But the beastmen followed their laws and would not allow the human king to enter.
"Then bring me Zeke! Right now!"

"Silence, beast! Don't talk back to a human!"
The king seized a sword from a knight and swung it fiercely...! with a whoosh.
"Ugh...!"
He slashed the guard's right arm deeply, blood dripping steadily...
"Hurry up! I'm in a hurry! If you dawdle any longer, I'll cut off your head next!"

From the sky came beast veterinarian Zeke with a wyvern.
He jumps in the air and lands in front of the gatekeeper.
"Sir Zeke!"
"Are you hurt?"
"N-no, I'm fine!"
Zeke glanced at the young gatekeeper's arm and frowned.
"Don't tough it out."
"N-no. I'm not toughing up. I just don't want to bother Sir Zeke."

Zeke faces the King.
"...Did you hurt him?"
The king holds a sword in his hand, and blood trickles from the tip of the sword.
"That doesn't matter! Zeke! I came all the way here because I had a favor to ask of you "
His temples twitch.
He said that after needlessly hurting an innocent beastman.
"Zeke, come back to our country now"
"No."
Zeke cuts it off with a bang.

"Think carefully with your hand on your chest."
Zeke believes the king sent the hero to kill the Frost Dragon.
The king sent excessive force, prioritizing revenge over saving injured lives.
He even cut down beastmen for his own goals.
...Zeke deeply despises the king for disregarding others' lives.
"No time for that! The capital is in crisis! We need your power now!"
"Don't care. It's none of my business."
"It is! Your magic beasts are out of control!"
Zeke sighs.
"Your Majesty, those magic beasts are the kingdom's defense tools, not mine."
"B-But...!"
"If they are properly managed, they'd never act out. You must've left them to incompetents."
"Ugh...!"
"...Your face says I'm right."
Zeke sighs.
"Anyway, you can fix this, Zeke! Return to the kingdom! Your old position is open."
"It's too late!"
He looks around at the kings.
"I'm with the beastman nation. Handle your own problems."
"That's irresponsible!"
"I took care of the beasts responsibly, okay!? But you kicked me out for no reason, ignored my warnings, and now want me back? Don't mess with me...!"
Zeke couldn't forgive the king's actions against the Frost Dragon and the gatekeeper.
His anger wasn't personal──it was for the king's disregard for life.
"That's it. I won't help you. Leave."
He turns and walk away.
"W-Wait! This is a really bad situation! Please! Just wait!"
The king grabs mhis arm.
"[Paralyze]"
"Ggh...!"
The king and his knights all become immobilized by Paralyze.
"Cino. Send them back to their original country."
'Understood.'
His sister mage, who had been watching everything from above, is about to cast magic.
"W-Wait! Please reconsider!"
Whoosh!
The kings disappear.
Where they are sent is a sight of the crumbling royal capital.
It was already... too late for everything.
