Chapter 5 Father’s Seduction Plan
"Ugh, I'm cute again today!"
In front of the mirror, I strike a pose with a sparkle, muttering to myself, "I'm (Ore) so cute."
It's been about a week since I started remembering my past life and developed a sense of self as a guy.
I've been relentlessly trying to get closer to my Elder Brother.
Every day, I ask Lisa to help me with skincare, I mix up my fashion choices from the many dresses I have so I don't get boring, and I even started styling my hair with the magic I just learned.
Well, even though my magic is pretty low, I can at least manage without a hairdryer.
Thanks to that, today, Yummy's silver hair is super smooth.
No joke, it's shining.
At first, I thought it was kinda weird for a guy to care this much about his looks, but honestly, it's fun once you try it.
I guess it feels a bit like coordinating my favorite character in a game? Unlike my past life, I've got this super cute material now, so not polishing it would be a loss for humanity.
My thoughts are getting more and more narcissistic, but because of that, I can really feel that Elder Brother is falling for me.
At first, his words were sharp, but now they've softened, and when I go to see him, he smiles happily at me.
The proud look on his face when I show off my magic, and the smile he gives afterward, feel innocent for his age and are just heartwarming.
Plus, recently, without me even having to ask, Elder Brother has started to pet my head and hug me gently, increasing our skinship.
Now, to anyone looking, we just look like a close-knit brother and sister.
The Granbell Family's plan for everyone to get along is going smoothly.
"It's about time to move on to the next stage."
Now that I've won over Elder Brother, the next target should be Father.
He's the one who brought me to this house, so I think he cares about me to some extent...
but still, he hardly shows his face except during meals.
I get that the lord's work is busy, but I don't even remember exchanging greetings with him.
I had been bullied by my stepmother and elder brother for a whole year, and they didn't even pretend to try to stop it, just leaving me to deal with it.
It's really questionable whether they actually care.
And unlike Elder Brother, it feels like this pretty cute Yummy charm isn't really working on them.
They don't even glance my way.
Now, every time I see Elder Brother, he smiles and says, "You're so cute." I wish you'd take a page out of his book, Father.
"That said, it's not like I'm completely out of options. Hehe, don't think that just looking cute is the only way to bring out those 'adorable' feelings, okay?"
Yeah, looks are just one aspect of a person's cuteness.
What really matters is the little things you show in your everyday actions.
So, in front of Elder Brother, I played the role of a "bright, earnest, and age-appropriate little sister." I had fun playing with magic, and I think that was half genuine, but still, I was acting.
So, what kind of daughter should I ideally play in front of Father?.
"He seems like a workaholic... so maybe I should push the angle of being a capable girl?"
To get close to someone, having common topics is the best way.
I brought up magic with Elder Brother, but Father doesn't have any hobbies and spends all day locked in his office working.
For a guy like that, the quickest way to get close is to work together and support him.
"That said, there's no way they'd let such a little kid handle work right off the bat... hmm."
No, I don't actually need to do any real work.
What's important is to close the emotional distance.
I just need to show Father that I'm interested in him and what he likes.
Within that, I'll push to have conversations with him as equals as much as possible.
And I'll act like a diligent and admirable daughter who's trying her best to be helpful!!
"Alright! Now that I've made up my mind, it's time to charge in!!"
With that resolve, the first place I headed was to Lisa.
She's the head of this household and the lord.
Even though she's my daughter, I can't just go see her without a reason, so I need to come up with an excuse first.

"Uh... you want to bring some tea?"
"Yes!"
I want to barge into my father's office under the pretense of serving tea.
When I explained the situation, Lisa looked like she was about to cry but agreed.
...Wait, why does she look like that?
"Good luck! I'll help you as much as I can."
"Thank you!"
I cheerfully thanked her and headed to the office with Lisa.
I thought I'd surprise my father with freshly brewed tea, but the problem was, he wasn't in the room.
Huh?
"He might be in the bathroom... let's wait a bit."
"Okay!"
We waited in the room for my father to come back.
Meanwhile, what caught my eye was the mountain of documents piled on the desk.
"Lisa, is all this work for your father?"
"Yeah, that's right."
"So much... that's a tough job, huh?"
It's like 3 times more than I imagined.
Is this really something a person can handle in a day? I wondered if I could help, so I casually glanced at one of the documents, but...
unfortunately, I had no clue what it was about.
This might turn out to be a more complicated mission than I thought...?
"...No, it's too early to give up. Alright, I've made up my mind."
"Milady?"
"Lisa, I'm gonna start studying from tomorrow. I want to help with Father's work."
If I don't understand, I'll just have to learn.
And while helping with work, I'll try to have some conversations with Father and get closer to him.
Just like Elder Brother, I'll turn Father into a doting papa who loves his daughter!!
"Huh? What are you two doing here?"
"Sir, this is, um..."
"Father! I asked Lisa to help me bring you some tea. Good luck with your work, I'm cheering for you!"
I rushed over to my father, sending him my best smile and support.
I'll definitely become such an amazing daughter that Father won't be able to ignore me and will dote on me!!
