Volume 1 Chapter 14 The King, Both the Dragon and the Horse Do Not Listen and Are Late to the Meeting
Zeke was made the Court Chief Doctor, meanwhile.
The king was just about to leave the country for a meeting with other countries.
"Seriously, that stupid prime minister. Can't he find someone to take care of the animals quickly?"
He sighed in frustration.
"Honestly, it's all useless people like Zeke. Well, the country is running because I, the capable one, am leading it."
After changing his clothes, the king headed to the entrance with his aide.
"King, please hurry. We can't be late for the meeting."
"I know. Today's meeting is very important. I can't be late even a little."
With a quickened pace, the king stepped outside the castle.
"Hmm? Hey, where's the dragon carriage?"
The dragon carriage is something that flies through the air using several wyverns to transport people.
But there wasn't a single wyvern from the country's stock.
"Uh, excuse me... King"
The dragon knight said with a worried look on his face.
"The dragon carriage is not available."
"What? What do you mean!"
The king grabbed the dragon knight by the collar and shouted.
"The truth is, this morning... all the wyverns have disappeared from the dragon stable."
"What?! What?! What a stupid thing to say!?"
"I'm not lying. I tried to ride a dragon this morning, but none of them would come off..."
Now... the king's face goes pale.
"Oh no! If I can't use wyvern, I won't be able to make it to the meeting on time! "
Since it was assumed that they would fly, this caused a major disruption to the schedule.
"I-I have no choice...hey! The carriage! Bring the carriage out!"
"Well, that's it... We can't even get a carriage out."
"WHAT THEHHHHHHHHH!?"
The king shouts, his face pale.
"Why?! Why?! The horses are gone too!?"
"N-no... that's not it..."
"Then hurry up and get me a horse, you idiot!"
The Royal Knight bows his head and disappears.
And....
"Heheehee! Brrrrheheehee!"
Several guards brought a horse.
But the horse is shaking its head violently, neighing, and trying to kick away.
"What the! What is this wild horse!? Is there no better horse!?"
"Th-this horse is the calmest one... The other horses are so crazy, we can't handle them..."
"Don't mess with me!? Why is this happening!?"
"I-I don't know..."
...The king and the knights don't notice.
The animals are upset because that perfect vet for them is gone.
The prime minister has not brought a new vet yet.
The animals are left alone without care.
They are very stressed.
"Anyway, that horse will do! Let's hurry up!"
"T-this is too much...! It doesn't listen at all!"
"Be quiet! Horses will listen if you whip them! Let's go!"
...But in the end, the wild horse could not go down the road properly.
Because of that, he ended up being very late for the meeting.
"As the king of a country, how dare you be late to an important meeting~"
"Absolutely."
The king faced blame and laughter from the leaders of other countries.
"Damn! Why is this happening to me...? Damn it!"
