I was invited to the beastman country Neroguma.
Late at night.
In the king's castle in the royal capital [Ewashima].
"Hmm... it's too big and I can't relax."
As a court doctor, I started working in this castle.
They also prepared a place for me to live, giving me a nice room in the castle.
The furniture and bed were really nice.

On the bed, Divine Beast Haku was curled up by my pillow.

And apparently, she is Haku's mother.

I couldn't ignore it, so I took a [weapon] and went outside my room.

Normally, it looks at the insides of sick animals, but I can use it to search the area too.
As I activated the skill, I detected several people trying to escape through the window.
Without a moment's hesitation, I rushed to the scene like the wind.
With a loud bang, I threw the door open, ready to confront whoever was inside.
Inside the room, several men in black were trying to kidnap a [woman].
She was a very beautiful woman.
With long white hair and red droopy eyes.
The woman had a gag in her mouth and couldn't make a sound.
"...Impossible! How did you notice us using our [Stealth] skill!?"
One of the men in black shouted with wide eyes.
They were kidnappers trying to take her away while hiding.
"[Paralyze!]"
I activated my skill in an instant, and the men in black froze!
The woman he was carrying on his shoulders slumps... and falls.
I caught her before she hit the ground.
"Are you hurt?"
She nods slowly.
"Darn it... what is this Paralyze... it's too strong!"
"He must be using a special sleep medicine for magic beasts."
"I can't get caught here...!"
Bang!
One of the men in black breaks free from the Paralyze.
"Huff... huff! I was right to prepare a special item for this situation! You'll pay for forcing me to use a national treasure like this!"
The man pulls out a knife and attacks me.
I quickly take out my weapon from my pouch and throw it faster than him.
Thud! It pierces him.
"Ugh!"
He drops the knife, and before it even hits the ground, I'm already moving.
In one swift motion, I close the distance and drive my foot into his neck.
The man spins in the air and falls down.
"What strength... who are you?"
"I'm just a doctor. A new one."
"Don't joke with me. Where in the world is there such a strong doctor... you monster..."
The man in black loses consciousness.
I use the Sleep skill on the remaining men to put them to sleep.
I pull out my weapon from the man's hand.
"This isn't how a scalpel is usually used."
I wipe the blood with a handkerchief and head to the woman.
I cut the gag with the scalpel so she can speak.
"Are you hurt?"
"No... thank you, [Zeke]."
"You're welcome... wait? How do you know my name?"
She smiles.
When I look closely, she has white dog ears and a tail.
"I'm your employer, you know♡"
"Huh? Y-you're my employer... no way..."
Yes, she nods.
"I am the Divine Beast King♡ Thank you, my lifesaver♡"
