Chapter 78 Adjutant’s 'shura The Scorching Flames' Original Work Explanation Vol I

Hey everyone, I'm the Adjutant and a servant of the Goddess of Fate, Goddess Norn. This is my first time greeting you all, so I hope you're doing well.

Because of Hiiro's involvement, the current story is starting to drift away from the original one. So, I want to explain the original story and point out the differences.

I actually wanted Goddess Norn to handle this section, but because of the influence of Lord Shou, the fate of the world in 'Shura the Scorching Flames' has been shaken up a lot.

So, she's probably busy dealing with all the mess right now...

Well, she brought it on herself. It's like they say, you reap what you sow.

So, here's my not-so-great explanation as the Adjutant. Please listen up.

 Alright, let's get started.

'Shura the Scorching Flames─Ash, Thus They Imitate─'

 [Prologue]

The story starts with Shura, who is about to graduate, feeling a bit out of place at the Academy. She picks up information about the corruption of knights and Asgardam, and there are mock battles with other students in the tutorial, helping players understand the world better.

During this time, several teachers call Shura "Ash Valkyrie," showing her special presence.

As she graduates, flashbacks begin, taking us back to a year ago in a port town.

This is where the story unfolds about the event that led to her being called Ash Valkyrie.

There are strange rumors in Port town Fjikra. Fishermen who went out to sea have gone missing, and at midnight, those missing fishermen visit their families. But these fishermen are clearly undead.

Hearing the rumors, Shura visits Port town Fjikra. The town's representative knows Shura is Ash Valkyrie and asks her to solve the mystery. Shura agrees, thinking she can hunt the beasts, and the investigation begins.

There, she meets a girl named Amela. She has cute blonde hair and wears a red jewel rosary.

Amela says she saw the missing fishermen in a small cave in the town. Shura goes with Amela to the cave, but there's nothing there. Suddenly, a loud noise echoes, and rocks fall, blocking the cave's exit.

The ones who caused the rockfall are the undead fishermen, and Amela is the one controlling them...

──"You're such a fool! With a cute girl like me, even someone like you, Ash something, gets careless, right? Be careful! Pretty flowers have thorns, and harmless-looking people can be ruthless beasts. Ahahaha!"

──"But having someone like you around is a problem for me... so how about I just get rid of this town?"

As Shura is trapped, Amela laughs and leaves. Amela plans to destroy Fjikra with the undead.

The town is filled with screams and shock. But Shura breaks free from the rocks and stands in the way of the undead.

Shura shows her skills and defeats the undead. In the end, she faces Amela in a one-on-one battle on a ship in the port and defeats her.

Amela falls down. Shura turns her back. But Amela pretends to be defeated. With strength that doesn't seem possible for a girl, she tears off a metal railing and attacks Shura. But...

──"I won't let my guard down with you again!"

Shura was getting ready for a surprise attack. She used the Luminous Crest to blind Amela, grabbed the iron pipe from Amela's hand, and stabbed it right into Amela's chest along with the rosary.

 ──"What the...?"

──"That rosary is your true self, vampire. You don't just control people and turn them into undead; you also use blood to take over beasts. I heard about you a long time ago, but I'm glad I remembered."

 ──"Damn it..."

So, the beast vampire was defeated, and peace returned to Fjikra. But the iron pipe that pierced the vampire mysteriously disappeared.

Anyway, after a long flashback, we return to the present.

Shura graduated from the Academy and was taking the entrance exam. There, she was hit on by a clumsy noble named Ruzure, but she quickly shut him down. The exam started, and she was racking up some hate points. She called out Instructor Shidou by name and won the match, becoming a trainee knight for the Einherjar Knights.

And that's where the prologue ends.

 [Chapter One]

Shura's days as a knight trainee begin. She was doing really well and everyone noticed her skills. A girl named Sham Neshana became her roommate, and for some reason, she really liked Shura. Sham kept asking her questions and trying to be friends, which annoyed Shura at first, but she slowly started to warm up. Eventually, Shura stopped resisting and just accepted it.

However, during battles, Sham noticed Shura's serious side and realized she needed to get stronger, so she didn't act as casually as before during training.

Soon, the selection exam came, and Shura's opponent was announced. She easily passed the first and second rounds, but in the third round, she faced Ruzure, who had bothered her during training. Shura took out all her frustration on Ruzure and defeated him completely, but that only made Ruzure more obsessed.

After that, the events in Korghi Village were pretty much the same.

But during the fight at the Orphanage, Shura got brainwashed by a beast Banshee. Even while being brainwashed, her trauma kicked in, and her will to resist made her use red magic, setting the Orphanage on fire. The sight of the burning Orphanage triggered her trauma, and her inner power exploded, defeating the Banshee. However, Shura lost consciousness, and Eigun saved her from the collapsing Orphanage.

Eigun got burned badly and died. Villagers saw the Orphanage burning and rescued Shura, but later, Ms. Hauchi told her about the dark history of the Orphanage.

Even though Shura solved the Korghi Village incident, she returned to Asgardam feeling uneasy.

At the Orphanage ruins, a masked man who seemed to be behind everything showed up, said something mysterious, and picked up an iron pipe. It was exactly the same one Shura used to stab the vampire with the rosary. This encounter would lead to more tragedy later.

Now, back in Asgardam, Shura was immediately thrown into the Punishment Room. At this time, rumors spread among the knight trainees that Shura might lose her knight title.

Sham was shocked by this news. Then, she received a letter saying that if she wanted to save Shura, she should come to the old school building. Seeing a glimmer of hope, Sham headed there, but she was caught and paralyzed by Hiiro and Shouk, who were waiting for her.

On the other hand, Shura didn't lose her knight title but was given a 3-day stay in her dorm. Feeling down after the Eigun incident, Shura returned to the dorm and found a letter on Sham's table. She quickly headed to the old school building.

When she arrived, Ruzure and the others were waiting for her, holding Sham hostage. They told Shura that if she didn't want Sham to get hurt, she had to do what they said. Shura was really angry, but she couldn't ignore the hostage situation.

Just then, Sham, who was supposed to be the hostage, suddenly disappeared, and a voice that sounded a lot like hers echoed around.

──"Don't worry about sister, Ms. Eshurareze! I'll go call for help now! Please take care of things!"

Hearing that, Shura grabbed her sword and charged at Ruzure and the others, starting the big boss battle of the chapter.

In the end, Shura won. Ruzure and the others, all beaten up and unconscious, were handed over to Instructor Shidou, who seemed to be the help that Sham had called for.

And so, Chapter One came to an end. The story continues into Chapter Two.

How was that? Looking at it this way, it seems like Hiiro's path is pretty much the same as in the original, but the details are quite different.

If I had to point out some big differences:

 - Hiiro built a friendship with Quollio and is liked by a girl named Lyam.

 - Because Eigun is alive, he's seen as a hero from Korghi Village.

 - Powell has already appeared and left.

 - Ruthless isn't the one who control; instead, Hiiro has taken control.

 - Shura has found someone really important to her.

 That's about it.

As someone who knows what happens next in the original, I can see that the upcoming events might be quite different... Seriously, what's going to happen with Quollio?

I'm really curious, but for now, let's wait for updates from Lady Velzandi, who is heading to the scene.

I'll read [Loki of the Skyscraper] in the meantime.

Alright everyone, see you in the next chapter.

 Okay, goodbye.
