Volume 2 Chapter 5 Catherine - Not Wanting To Admit Failures And Mistakes
*This is from an angry perspective, so I've made it seem incoherent on purpose.
I'm so mad.
I'm really mad.
I'm super mad!
"That greasy old man. I'm definitely going to make him pay."
I accidentally let those words slip out, and I quickly shut my mouth and looked around. It would be a disaster if someone heard me. After all, I'm currently walking in the hallway of the grand cathedral in the royal capital.
There are many reasons to be mad, but the biggest one is definitely that Elizabeth. Because she came back, everything is getting weird.
Just earlier, when I asked the old pope, "Why is Lady Elizabeth back?" he casually replied,
──"Well, I can't really interfere with the laws of the kingdom."
What? Is he stupid? He bullied a Saint! The church should protest more about this.
He's always taking bribes, so he's useless at times like this.

Whoa, that was close. A priest. For now, I just need to smile and bow my head. I watched the priest pass by as I bowed my head in return, letting out a sigh of relief.

I already knew the church was corrupt from the game, and I'm supposed to clear out the pigs in the side quest 'Purify the Corrupt Church' and rebuild it. But for now, I need them to fatten my own pockets.
It doesn't make sense to rob a poor organization.
Because, you know, it takes a lot of money to rebuild, right? I need to make my room luxurious, and I want to redesign my clothes to be cute... So for now, I'll have them gather money for me.
