Chapter 22 Terminology Explanation Of The Third Daughter Skuld Vol I

Explanation of Terminology for the Third Daughter Skuld VOL.1

Wahaha! Thank you for your hard work in reading!

I am Skuld, the beloved third daughter of the fated 3 goddesses!

Now then, here I will personally provide supplementary explanations about various specialized terms and settings that appeared in the story.

Therefore, while bowing low and reverently worshiping me, you should perk up your ears and listen well!

Huh? The third daughter has the biggest attitude?

W-What did you say! What's wrong with the third daughter being proud!

 [Yumillion Continent]

This is the land surrounded by the sea on all sides, where the story takes place! It's super vast!

 [Holy Western Country Asgardam]

This is the largest nation on the continent, occupying about a quarter of the area from the north to the central part of Yumillion.

It is essential to mention that it is led by the royal family Garland and has the renowned combat group 'Einherjar Knights,' known as the strongest on the continent.

The level of civilization in the central area is higher than in other countries, and research and trade in various fields, including magic, are thriving, making the splendor of the capital truly magnificent.

It is a city built on the land where the great tree Yggdrasil, once called the World Tree, stood, and perhaps due to that influence, there are many bridges and houses utilizing the trunks of the towering trees, making it a visually delightful town/street. I would love to live there!

However, in recent years, there have been increasing disparities, the arrogance of knights, magic-related damages in the outskirts, and deteriorating relations with neighboring countries, leading to quite a few troubles. It's quite a hassle.

 [Royal Family Garland]

This is the royal family residing in Asgardam. Being royalty, they seem to be quite important, though they are inferior to me.

The royal family originated from the legendary hero king Sigmund, who was born 1500 years into human history, and has reigned over the vast Asgardam for 500 years.

As a side note, they seem to regard the 4-winged crow as a sacred beast and a national symbol. However, a 4-winged crow is rather peculiar.

 [Einherjar Knights]

This is the greatest military force possessed by Asgardam, an organization of those who are classified as "knights."

Led by the knight commander Leonhart Sig, it is the continent's premier combat group, divided into 3 legions, including the active unit referred to as the 'main force,' the Brynhilde squad.

Once a year in spring, they gather new recruits and conduct examinations.

Their headquarters is located in the central area of Asgardam.

 [Valkyrie Academy]

This is an academy built near the Einherjar Knights for training knights.

Every year, young people from across the country gather here to strive together towards joining the knight order.

It's youth, and I want to attend too. How about being Hiiro's childhood friend? It would suit my earnest character, right? Right? Don't look away!

 [Beast]

Although they have not yet appeared in the main story, they are said to resemble monsters in the real world.

They are considered humanity's arch-enemy, a calamity brought to this world, and the nightmare of all things. Well, I suppose... there will be opportunities to touch upon this later, so look forward to Vol.2.

 [Counting the Months]

It seems that the names of the months in this world differ from those in the real world.

It is said that the names of the months were proposed by the star astronomer Asclepius around the year 1000 of human history.

 They generally go as follows:

 January - Month of Aquarius

 February - Month of Pisces

 March - Month of Aries

 April - Month of Taurus

 May - Month of Gemini

 June - Month of Cancer

 July - Month of Leo

 August - Month of Virgo

 September - Month of Libra

 October - Month of Scorpio

 November - Month of Sagittarius

 December - Month of Capricorn

Additionally, some people refer to them as "Month of the Water Jug" instead of Aquarius and "Month of the Goat" instead of Capricorn.

Well! For now, that's about it!

There are still many unique words in this world, but I will explain them in due course as the story progresses! You should be grateful!

 Now then, everyone, farewell!

Phew, I'm tired... Ah, Sister Uruzu. My throat is parched. Please brew me some tea.

...We're out of milk and sugar... What...!?
