Volume 8 Chapter 8 Enemy Attack
With Akane added to their group, Elk and the others left the village.
According to Akane, the village was going to be dismantled. Everyone, young and old, would be taken away and forced to work in mines and farms. There were young children and elderly people among them, but there was a guilt for ignoring the evil deeds.
In Yamato, there were many villages like this.
Elk asked Akane while they were in the carriage.

"Lady Yato, we're under attack!! It's the Night Festival Courtesan!!"

The first to jump out was Sophia.
Next was Yato, followed by Akane, and finally Elk.
Elk was last because he had put on an eye patch mask and hood.
When they jumped out of the carriage, they saw several women in disheveled kimonos, knight-like men, and thug-like men surrounding the carriage.
They were members of the Premiere Knights, Night Festival Courtesan, and Demon King.
Now they were unified and called 'Devoted to the Goddess (Adrazione).' Elk clicked his tongue.
"Tch... Adrazione has come to Yamato country too."
"Elk. No instant kills, okay?"
"Yeah, yeah."
Yato drew the Sixfold Demon Sword and took a stance.
Kaya also took out a naginata from the weapon box and spun it above her head.
Sophia drew a holy sword from her weapon ring. Then she asked Akane.
"Can we get your help?"
"Yeah. An S-rank dangerous organization is an enemy we need to eliminate too."
"Thank you."
Then, Elk quietly spread his hands.
"Well then, shall we get started?"

Members of Adrazione charged at them.
Yato took off running with the Sixfold Demon Sword ready. He narrowly dodged the sword of a knight.

Yato aligned the Sixfold Demon Sword with the knight's descending sword.

The knight's sword broke.

As Yato unleashed the technique, he sheathed his sword and took a stance.
Behind him, a woman from the Night Festival Courtesan, who had been waiting for an opening, extended countless 'threads' from the fan she held... but.
"Iaijutsu technique───'Spinning Tiger'."

The twisted Iaijutsu captured all the threads and cut them.
Immediately sheathed the sword, Yato entered the woman's range in an instant and severed both her arms with Iaijutsu.

Then, with a high kick, she struck the woman's neck, knocking her unconscious.
Suddenly, 2 thug-like figures approached Yato from both sides.
One was swinging a chain, while the other held a knife in both hands.
Yato clicked her tongue and took the Iaijutsu stance... but.

"Swift!!"
Kaya's naginata and Akane's palm strike sent the thugs flying.
Kaya and Akane took their stances to protect Yato.
"You guys... you don't have to protect me."
"We can't do that. These guys are pretty tough."
"Indeed, they are not amateurs. Kaya, Lady Yato, let's not let our guard down."
"Right... it would be nice if we could handle it as easily as over there."
Yato glanced over at Elk and Sophia.
Sophia was surrounded by many enemies, but she looked completely relaxed.
"Hehe, it's been a while. To be surrounded by so many hostile people... ah, it's getting me excited."
Once, she was the Sword Saint.
