Volume 8 Chapter 5 Arrival In Yamato
"Yo, ho, here we go!"
Elk sat on the railing of the deck, moving his arms toward the sea.
As Elk waved his arms, fish jumped out of the water and into the tank on the deck.
Just by moving his right and left hands alternately, fish leaped from the ocean... of course, it was because of his Telekinesis. It was not fishing; it was Telekinesis fishing.
It was a simple task of catching the fish he could see with his Telekinesis.
However... to the sea men, Elk's way of catching fish was impressive.
"Whoa!!"
"Is this good enough? I can get more if you need."
"No, no, this is plenty!! Haha, I'm surprised. There are many people who fish with the skill 'Fisherman,' but I never thought someone would lift them with Telekinesis."
Eivor was impressed.
In the tank, there were over 20 fish of various sizes. Naturally, the fish would be the crew's meal.

Strong men lifted the tank and headed inside the ship.
Eivor smiled widely and followed behind.
Then, Sophia, Yato, and Kaya arrived. It seemed they had been watching from a distance.
"Um, Miss Sophia... here."
"Take it. As I said before, that is a fair reward earned by your hard work, Elk."
"Well, it was more like playing than working... right?"
Yato chuckled softly, so Elk silently protested.
Sophia looked out at the sea as she spoke.
"Still... you're lucky. Even though we should have encountered sea monsters, none have appeared."
"Ah, then it's probably fine."
"Huh?"
"I set up a field with my Telekinesis. I think no large monsters can come within about 100 meters (328ft) of this ship. I made it like a net, so smaller fish can probably get through."

Sophia thought again.

Elk tilted his head, but Yato and Kaya had already noticed.

Eivor looked at Elk and smiled brightly.
"Good luck, Elk. Make sure not to let your guard down."
"Yes, thank you..."
Eivor waved lightly and returned to the ship. Sophia spoke to Elk and the others.
"First, let's have lunch. After that, we will head to the capital of Yamato, 'Kushinada'."
"Okay."
"Um..."
"Ms. Kaya, is there a place to eat at this port?"
"Yes. There's a fisherman's diner. At this time, there should be hardly anyone there... I'll guide you."
Kaya started walking ahead.
Yato followed, and Sophia gave Elk a light pat on the shoulder.
"We can talk later."

They headed to an inn a little away from the port. There were many restaurants in this area.
Elk noticed that the buildings were different from those in the Galatinne Kingdom.

Kaya checked one diner and opened the door.

They sat at a simple table for 4.
Elk was surprised when hot tea was served first.

"That's green tea. If you want water, it's in that bottle over there. But first, let's order."
"Um... where's the menu?"
"This. Can you read Yamato?"
"..."
"Sigh... then, let's just go with seafood donburi, okay?"
"Uh, okay... thanks, Yato."
They ordered 4 seafood donburi.
What arrived was a bowl of rice topped with various slices of fish.
Yato and Kaya poured some black liquid over it and started eating right away.
"W-What is this black stuff...?"
"Soy sauce. I won't explain it anymore, so just remember everything you're curious about and look it up at the library when we get back."
"Ugh... I guess I'll just not worry about it."
"Hehe, soy sauce... it's really delicious, you know. There are hardly any places that sell it in the Galatinne Kingdom."
It seemed Sophia knew about it too.
Kaya and Yato looked satisfied. Elk also tried the seafood bowl.
"Ugh, it's so good... Is raw fish this tasty!!"
"Sashimi is part of Yamato country's culture. I thought you might hate it."
"No, it's really good."
Elk was hungry, so he quickly finished the seafood bowl.
To his surprise, drinking green tea after the meal tasted incredibly good.
For a while, he enjoyed the tea... and then he asked Sophia.
