Volume 8 Chapter 3 Departing For Yamato
After finishing shopping, Elk was organizing his luggage in the room.
The expansion of the item box was completed in just a few hours, not even a day. When Nickes sent it to the merchant guild at his home, it arrived at the dormitory in just a few hours. This surprised Elk.
So, on the night before departure, he had the time to check his luggage like this.
"Clothes, equipment, ammunition, snacks... the letter is a fake for me, and Sophia has the real one, right?"
He had prepared several fake letters.
This was to consider the possibility of being attacked along the way. Sophia had said that important information about the Fire Gem was written in it, but Elk, being just a transport person, didn't know the contents. He was grateful just to be told that it was a letter about the Fire Gem.
He put all the prepared items into the item box and secured them with a chain.
The weapon box only contained spare bullets, a knife, and arrows for a short bow, so it wasn't very important. However, Elk thought he should make sure not to lose the item box.
After finishing all the preparations, Elk collapsed onto his bed.
"...I wonder if the Goddess Holy Church... or rather, Adrazione will come again... yawn."
There were still 6 priests left. He hadn't defeated any of them yet.
Pipina had said it was impossible to summon her to this world. But... Lily seemed to be trying to say something. Something that would be bad if Elk found out.

The 4 received their lunchboxes and put them into their item boxes.
"Now, we will head to the principal's office. There, we will receive a letter and be sent to the ship heading to Yamato."

Elk tilted his head.
Sophia chuckled and started walking, with the 3 following behind.
Yato and Kaya were silent. Elk wanted to say something, but the atmosphere felt strangely heavy, so he said nothing.
They passed a few students jogging, but the academy was quiet.
There were hardly any people in the central plaza.
"It's quiet... but I like this kind of atmosphere."
"You're surprising. I thought you were weak in the morning."
"Morning is training time for me."

Yato smiled. The slightly stiff atmosphere became softer.
When he looked at Kaya, she was the only one who seemed nervous.
They entered the school building and headed to the principal's office. When Sophia knocked, a voice from inside said, "Come in."
Sophia opened the door and bowed... Elk and the others followed her in.
"Sorry for making you come so early. Let's get this over with quickly."
"Poseidon... just because you want to sleep more, don't start carelessly."
The vice principal, Elshi, held her head, and a man of the same age as Poseidon laughed, "Kakkakka."
Who could it be? Elk wondered, and Elshi spoke up.
"This is Sir Pelican, the guild master of the Transport Guild. With his skill, he will take you to the port where the ship to Yamato is leaving."
"Nice to meet you, kid and young lady. With my skill 'Express Delivery,' getting to the port will be a piece of cake!!"
"To the port, huh?"
Elk couldn't help but say, and Sir Pelican nodded.
"Yeah. According to the treaty with Yamato, all goods can only be transported to the port. From there, officials from Yamato will inspect them and load them onto the ship... that's how it works."

Elshi handed Sophia several letters.

Sophia placed the letters in her item box.
Elshi cleared her throat.
"Now, let me explain the request. Deliver this letter to Lord Byakuya, the head of the Kushinada family, representing the Yamato government. There's a chance of interference from Adrazione along the way. In that case, you are allowed to fight back."

"Oh, yes. Understood."
With Sophia, Kaya, and Yato responding in unison, Elk hurriedly replied.
"Adrazione is after the gem. If you encounter Adrazione's Seven Heaven Apostles in Yamato, cooperate with the Yamato Samurai and eliminate them quickly."

Out of nowhere, the box shook.
A strange floating sensation wrapped around their bodies, and they quickly settled down.
As Elk shook his head in confusion, Sophia spoke.
"We've arrived. Now, let's board the ship."
"Huh?"
When the box disappeared, they found themselves... at the 'sea.'
A blue ocean, seagulls cry, the salty breeze, various sizes of ships, and strong sailors.
There was so much information that Elk couldn't find the words.
"This is the transportation guild's premises. It's where items transported by the 'Express Delivery' skill appear."
"I'm amazed... this is Kougane Port, right?"
"From here to the Galatinne Kingdom, it takes about half a month by carriage. And you did it in an instant..."
