Volume 3 Chapter 9 Flag Battle, End
A few minutes after Elk and the others got the flag.
The flag glowed softly, and Elk and the others were wrapped in light.
Then, a moment of floating sensation───... it was teleportation.
When Elk instinctively opened his eyes, he found himself in a place.
"""""Wowww───!! """""
"Whoa... is this the main battle venue?"
They were surrounded by loud cheers.
They had teleported to the main battle venue they saw in the waiting room before the start.
Next to Elk were Gambo and Fine. Also, other teams had teleported in.
Among them were Rosho and the others.
"Hm?"
"......"
Rosho looked at Elk but then snorted and turned away.
It seemed he didn't recognize Elk. Sarissa glanced at him too but quickly started talking to Elwood about something.
Maybe it was thanks to the assassin-style outfit Emma made. They still hadn't figured it out.
Fine was counting something.
"1, 2, 3, 4... oh no, there are only 4 teams including us. I thought there would be more left."
'Exactly, that's right.'
"Eeek!?"
As Fine muttered, the voice of Principal Poseidon echoed in the arena.
Fine was genuinely surprised by the sudden announcement.
Poseidon's voice rang out.
'Only 4 teams are left. Ugh, with the remaining mental energy... I expected 12 teams to be left. I've lost the bet... ahem. Well then, to the remaining teams, good job!!'
Some people shot disapproving looks at Poseidon for betting, but he ignored them.
Poseidon said with a smile.
'We will hold a tournament with these 4 teams!! The matchups will be announced tomorrow!! All 4 teams, please do not return to the dorms today, but rest in the accommodations within the arena. See you tomorrow!! Alright, that's the end of it, that's the end~♪'
It was quite casual.
Then, pushing Poseidon aside, a woman stepped forward to give the opening remarks.
She was Vice Principal Elshi. She looked like she was in her mid-twenties, but she was actually a woman in her 7ties.
'Seriously, that was too casual!! Be a little more serious!'
'No, I said what needed to be said!!'
'I'm telling you to be serious!!'
I could hear their argument, and then it sounded like the connection was cut off.
It seemed the conversation between the principal and the vice principal was over.
Shakariki appeared in the arena.
"Thank you for your hard work, everyone~... Tomorrow is the main event. Please go into the accommodations in the arena and rest until tomorrow. No contact between teammates, okay~? Why? Well, actually, there was a team that participated in the main event in the past, and they used skills and magic to 'strengthen' themselves overnight. So, to prevent that, the use of skills and magic is prohibited. Please rest in your rooms until tomorrow~... Oh, and we will deliver meals, and there are showers, so don't worry."
Shakariki explained everything at once.
Elk and the others were led by the teachers to the accommodations in the arena.
It was a completely private room. It was nicer than the dorm rooms.
Elk took off his combat uniform, stretched widely, and rolled onto the bed.
"Tomorrow is the main event, huh..."
Elk wonders how far his Telekinesis will go.
"I'm hungry..."
Elk yawned widely and closed his eyes just like that.
...
......
.........
'Hey, can you hear me?'
...
......
.........
"......Hmm?"
Hey, can you hear me?
"......Huh?"
'It's me, it's me! Pipina! Hehe, Elk, long time no see!'
"......Is this a dream?"
'Well, that's fine. Normally, I wouldn't get this involved, but you, who I've been with for 2,000 years, are special! I just want you to listen for a bit.
"......"
'Remember what I told you before? Every few thousand years, there are kids like you who get lost in the 'between life and death.' I give those kids new skills to bring them back to life, but... actually, the flow of time here and there is really messed up. Well, I think you already know that.'
"......"
'So... the kids I gave skills to have started this annoying "organization" and are worshiping me. They want to summon me to the world or something... but that's impossible. And those kids I gave skills to are doing some pretty crazy stuff to try to summon me. If I leave them alone, the world is going to get messed up. I really shouldn't have left any memories behind.'
"......"
'Hey, Elk. When you have some free time, could you "take care" of those kids? There are a lot of them with pretty dangerous skills... so just having the strong ones from your side might not be enough to defeat them. Oh, but only when you have time, okay?'
"......"
'There are 7 of them. They call themselves 'Seventh Heaven' or 'Goddess Holy Church'... haha, it sounds so cringy. Oh, you probably don't know what 'chuunibyou' means in this world. Be careful, they're all a bit out of their minds.'
"......"
'Well then, enjoy your school life! Bye-bye~♪'
...
......
.........
"...weird dream. What was that? Goddess Holy Church?"
Elk let out a big yawn and stretched.
He felt a bit nostalgic, as if he had dreamed of Pipina.
Then, there was a knock on the room's door.
'I brought dinner!'
"Oh, I've been waiting!"
Dinner was steak (and it was all-you-can-eat).
Satisfied after eating a lot of high-quality meat, Elk took a shower and went to bed.
Maybe because of his full stomach and tiredness, he quickly fell into a deep sleep.
And the next day.
"Alright!! The main event... just you wait, Rosho, Sarissa!"
Elk completely forgot about his dream of Pipina and was fired up for revenge against Rosho and Sarissa.
