Volume 2 Chapter 5 The Great Villain Of The World, Persuasion
After talking with Shuu-sensei, I returned to the capital of Souma Country.
I needed to discuss things with Tanshi-san.
I came to Souma Country as a member of the Aika Country delegation.
I couldn't just go back home without permission, and I couldn't let Shuu-sensei and Touri-san meet without proper approval. I needed to get permission from the person in charge.
So, I returned to the capital and talked to Tanshi-san.
"That Gen Shuuyoku-dono is now your mentor, Tenhou!?"
After I explained the situation, Tanshi-san exclaimed in surprise.
I bowed and said,
"As expected of Tanshi-sama. Did you know about Shuu-sensei?"
"Of course. His Royal Highness the King's younger brother has invited her many times."
Tanshi-san said excitedly,
"I have also spoken to her as a messenger. However, she always refused, saying she 'wasn't interested.'"
"Shuu-sensei was... Great Master's last disciple along with Master Raikou."
I replied.
"Because of that connection, she agreed to be my mentor."
"So, Gen-dono is Gyoun-dono's... I see..."
"I'm hoping to bring Shuu-sensei and her daughter to Aika Country."
I clasped my hands together and said,
"If Master Raikou returns, then my master can meet Shuu-sensei. Since they are both from the same school, they probably have things they want to talk about. Plus, if Shuu-sensei is in Aika Country... she can also check on my mother."
My mother is weak.
She often gets sick during the changing seasons.
She has been getting better lately, but just in case, I want Shuu-sensei to examine her.
My father loves my mother very much.
If she were to die young, he would be heartbroken... and that might cause him to make mistakes on the battlefield. Maybe that's why my father doesn't appear in the 'History of Swordmaster.'

Tanshi-san began to mutter quietly.
"Traveling doctors don't have a family register in Souma Country. Even if Aika Country pulls them in, it shouldn't be a problem. Moreover, if Gen Shuuyoku-dono wants this, it would only benefit His Royal Highness the King's younger brother. There's no reason to refuse... right?"
Tanshi-san is Ryougen-kun's aide.
In the game, he was always thinking about how to benefit Ryougen-kun.
If he's that kind of person, he should understand the meaning of my proposal.
If Shuu-sensei comes to Aika Country, Ryougen-kun will gain a valuable asset.
"That sounds good."
After a while, Tanshi-san looked up.
"Let's bring Gen Shuuyoku-dono and her daughter back to Aika Country."
"Thank you very much!"
"His Royal Highness the King's younger brother hosts many guests. Gen Shuuyoku-dono will definitely be welcomed. We will also prepare housing for the two of them."
"I appreciate it."
I bowed deeply.
"However, Shuu-sensei said, 'I can manage my own living expenses somehow.'"

Tanshi-san laughed and said,
"Please tell Gen Shuuyoku-dono to wait in the town near the border. We will meet up when we return to Aika Country."

Tanshi-san had a curious look on his face.
"Before becoming a traveling doctor, Gen Shuuyoku-dono was a famous martial artist. Back then, His Royal Highness the King's younger brother wanted to have Gen Shuuyoku-dono as a guest."
"Is that so..."
I didn't know that.
All I knew was Shuu-sensei, the traveling doctor.
That person was an NPC in the game. Because of that, her stats and past were unknown.
I see. Shuu-sensei was originally a martial artist...
"If you'd like, why not take some martial arts lessons?"
"I'll consider it if I get the chance. What kind of martial arts does Shuu-sensei practice?"
"'Finger Control Art,' it seems."
Tanshi-san's answer was short.
"I've heard that she is skilled in the technique called 'Pressure Point Technique.' It's a martial art that sends 'ki' energy from your fingertips to stop your opponent's movements. With that technique, it seems that Gen has defeated many martial artists."
After that, I talked to Shouou.
"If that's the case, I want to learn with Tenhou too."
Shouou nodded without hesitation after hearing me.
"I'm going to keep working for the friendship between Souma Country and Aika Country. For that, I need to become stronger."
"Shouou, you're amazing."
"I'm just doing what anyone would do."
Shouou said with a shy face,
"My dream is to create a world where people from both countries can live together normally. For example, those born in Souma Country and Aika Country living like family. Living in the cool Aika Country in summer and the warm Souma Country in winter... don't you think that kind of life would be nice?"
"Yeah, I think it's great."
I really believe that.
Being able to go back and forth freely means that the two countries are at peace.
It means there's no hostility and no chaotic times.
"I think that's a wonderful dream. I'll support you too."
"Yeah. I thought you would say that, Tenhou."
Shouou is really thinking about the future.
It's not just about sending his mother back to Souma Country and calling it a day.
Shouou seems to be looking beyond that.
That's amazing. I need to learn from Shouou too.
"Let's get stronger together. When Master Raikou comes back, it'll be a big surprise."
"Yeah. It's a promise, Tenhou."
"Yes. Shouou."
So, I started receiving guidance on 'ki' energy together with Shouou.
