Volume 12 Chapter 34 The God Of End, Loki
In front of Loki, we attacked without hesitation.
At this point, if the enemy took the first move, it would put us at a disadvantage. So, we each tried to corner Loki with our own methods.
But Loki avoided all of it with just a snap of her fingers.
My Durandal, Ice's ice bird, Toxy's poison blade, and Sandra's electric shock all passed right by Loki and stabbed into the ground behind him.
Still, only Ice managed to land a hit.
"Detonate!"
The ice bird that had pierced through exploded. But that explosion meant nothing.
"Everyone, your eyes are all bloodshot and scary~♡."
Hehe♡ Loki laughed in her usual way. She showed no signs of the tension of battle and turned around gracefully.
"Since it's scary, I think I'll run away~."
Loki said that casually. Then, something appeared, as if to crush the Demon King's castle.
An overwhelming mass. Without even using Domain Control, a giant snake pushed us into a corner.
Jormungand broke through the audience chamber of the Demon King's castle and came between us.
"Here I come. Oh, you all look great together. Should I call you... Dad?"
"I don't want to be called something so uncute! Call me Loki-chan~♡!"
"I guess it's fine to keep it the same. Hey, girl, hop on."
"Geez. You're so cold, even though we're family."
Complaining, Loki climbed onto Jormungand, turning back to us.
"Well then, bye-bye~♡, Master!"
Jormungand surged forward, destroying the Demon King's castle as it moved away.
"Damn it, Loki! ―――Rollo!"
I'm trying to call out my name, but I jump back to protect myself from the falling debris.
Then I turn around and give everyone instructions.
"First, we need to escape! If we stay like this, the Demon King's castle will collapse!"
'Got it!'
Clay gathers the rubble to form a giant fist and breaks a big hole in the wall. Following her command of "We're escaping from here!", we leap out one by one.
Landing. When I look up, I see the huge form of Jormungand, and then Fenrir and Surtr walking at their feet.
"These guys are all so huge, it messes with my sense of distance..."
"Wade-kun...! What do we do about this...!?"
Ice asks with a serious look on her face. I turn around and notice my friends' expressions.
Everyone looks tense, just like Ice. Even our 2 masters are exchanging worried glances.
...Of course. Those 3 we just barely defeated are now back like it's nothing.
And this time, they're all together. They're not showing up one by one. We can't take them down individually like before.
I say,
"We don't have to defeat Fenrir, Jormungand, and Surtr."
As I assert this, I can feel the atmosphere, which was close to panic, tighten up.
"Those 3 just revived because of Loki's Domain Control. It means there's a support system in place. So, trying to defeat them is probably pointless. It will just wear us out."

I call out my best friend's name.
"With a fully grown Typhon, you should be able to hold off Fenrir and Surtr. WYou don't need to defeat them, just keep them busy somehow."

"Thanks. Next, I want to ask a few people to assist Clay. The key point is defense... Sandra, Mudi, Philia! You 3 will board Typhon and protect Clay."

"Haha, thanks. Now, the last 2, Ice and Toxy, I want you to move with me."
"Okay...!" "I got it! Let's do this!"
With everyone agreeing, I let out a breath. Then, I quickly gathered my thoughts and said.
"From now on, we'll split into 2 teams for the Loki operation! The main team against Loki will be me, Ice, and Toxy! The team handling Fenrir and Surtr will be Clay, Sandra, Mudi, and Philia!"
My teammates nodded in agreement. I continued giving instructions.
"The team with Clay will keep Fenrir and Surtr away from us while we fight Loki and Jormungand. The main focus is Clay's Typhon. The other 3 should act as its defense."
"Make it as big as possible, right?"
With Clay's confirmation, I smirked and nodded.
"Exactly. I'm counting on you, partner."
"I've got it, leader."
I fist-bumped with Clay. She looked up to check the enemy's status and murmured.
"...It seems we don't have time to chat any longer. Let's move! Typhon!"
'Roger!'
Clay summoned Typhon, and the 3 of them climbed onto the giant. Immediately, the now gigantic Typhon loomed over the giants, trying to pin down everyone except Jormungand.
After confirming that, I turned to Ice and Toxy.
"Ice, Toxy, you two will challenge Loki with me. We can't defeat or contain Jormungand, so just think of it as moving ground or something."
"I never thought I'd hear Wade say 'we can't defeat or contain'... but I guess it can't be helped, that thing is――."
"Way too huge, right..."
"Yeah, it can't be helped. Besides, even if we somehow defeat him, he would probably come back thanks to Loki's Domain Control, so it's pointless. So, we focus on Loki."
'Exactly.'
"And the important thing is not to give Loki any breathing room. We need to attack aggressively and keep Loki's attention on us. That way, Jormungand will focus on us and won't be able to hit Typhon."

Our target was above Jormungand. Since we were small, we could move in Jormungand's blind spot and not get caught.
Even while moving, snow hit our bodies. The distant falling stars brought even more destruction to the city below.
As we moved, we attacked right next to Jormungand's back, close to his scales, and floated up to several kilometers in the air.
Then, we landed.
A sound like a crack echoed at my feet. I felt the unique impact of stepping on a giant scale. When I looked up, there it was.
Above Jormungand. There, Loki was gazing over the city below.
"Oh♡ You're early, Master~♡ And Ice-sama, Toxy-sama too~♡."
Loki turned back to call me, still in a good mood as always.
"Look at that~♡ Fenrir and Surtr are struggling against Clay-sama's Typhon because it's so huge! But Typhon seems to be having a hard time with my star rain and Surtr's volcanic bombs~♡."
Far below, Typhon, Fenrir, and Surtr were engaged in a desperate battle. Typhon was much larger, but Fenrir and Surtr were fast and quite tough.

I don't know how much of those words I truly understand. But we have no choice but to fight.
As I readied Durandal, the two behind me followed suit. Loki watched us and giggled, "Hehe~♡"

Loki snapped her fingers.

The battle was completely over. Loki's right hand pierced through Ice's stomach, and her left hand broke Toxy's neck.
I swung Durandal. But Loki easily jumped to avoid it, got behind me, and pulled out my heart with a thrusting motion.
The heart. It meant something in a physical sense, and also in terms of 'chakras'.
Loki crushed my heart. At the same time, my Anahata chakra shattered.
"Master, is this how you die? Hehe~♡ So does that mean Loki wins now?"
Loki's arm was pulled out from inside me. I stared wide-eyed and collapsed on the spot.
