Volume 5 Chapter 32 Ajna Chakra
The second eye, Ajna Chakra, can see through various things.
With clairvoyance, I can see things beyond distance, and accurately observe objects. Accurately, that is, like a human microscope. I tried to push my limits earlier and saw something like atomic spheres. I don't get it.
And, as it turns out, I can also read people's minds now. When I try to peek deeply into others, I can see the emotions inside them, like a hazy aura.
That's exactly what I'm trying to do now. The theme is "Suffering, Justice, and Fate," so I'm peeking into Puppet Master's mind.
But...
"Hmm..."
There's a part that's a bit abstract, and I'm having trouble measuring it, even with Puppet Master's mind.
"Justice is probably pleasure. If they're happy, that's all that matters. It's got a carefree feel to it."
'Uriel, justice is pleasure.'
'That's right. Then what about suffering and fate?'
'Wade, do you understand?'
When asked, it's tough. There's a part that's squirming around, making me suffer, so I try to peek deeper, but... ugh.
"There's something like anxiety, but it's a bit weak...? It's like, I don't know, a sense of regret. But it doesn't feel like the core."
'Is it anxiety and regret... about Nightfather's demise? Uriel, what do you think?'
'That's a lie. It's not true suffering.'
'I see. ...Damn, Puppet Master is starting to get suspicious. I'll move to the roof.'
"Understood."
I quickly switched to the clairvoyance and checked if Frain's route was clear. Then, I focused on Puppet Master's mind again.
Probably, this squirming suffering I'm seeing isn't wrong. But, as Uriel said, what I saw was only the surface.
So, I'll go deeper. I steeled myself and plunged the second eye into the midst of that suffering emotion.
'What are you looking at?'
"Ah!"
I felt a stinging pain in my eyes and stumbled back, covering them with my hands. My right eye couldn't see.
"Wade!? There's blood coming from your eyes!"
"Ugh... I didn't know Ajna Chakra could do this!"
I used my uninjured left eye to check the blood dripping from my right eye. It seemed that if I overused Ajna Chakra, it would directly damage my eyes. I was lucky to have learned Anahata Chakra first.
Just then, Frain asked me,
'What's going on? The Puppet Master's movements have stopped.'
"I looked too deep and got cut."
'Huh? Weren't you just lounging around at home?'
"That was the plan, but it's not a big deal."
Using my second heart, Anahata Chakra, I recovered my eyes.
This was indeed exhilarating, a new sensation I'd never experienced before. I focused my attention and continued observing with my second eye, Ajna Chakra.
"Wade, just because you're at home doesn't mean you can push yourself too hard."
"Sorry, Toxy, just a little longer."
Not on the surface, but deep down. There, I saw a gatekeeper who looked just like the Puppet Master. Had I been cut by that guy?
"I need to arm myself to take him down. I think I can do it if I build up another Chakra, but I don't have the time."
In that case, there was only one thing to do. I closed my eyes in the real world and focused.
Then, I dodged the gatekeeper's attack and snuck a peek at the core.
'You're not allowed to look!'
"No way! But it's just this much!"
While recovering with Anahata Chakra, I broke through the gatekeeper. The core of suffering.
'Ah... I've touched the wrath of God. Please forgive me, please forgive me... I won't do this again, I won't commit such blasphemy again. Please, forgive me...'
The Puppet Master was kneeling, praying desperately. In front of the Puppet Master stood a white man with a wobbly body, Protean.
'Don't look!'
"Gah, ugh!"
My second eye, Ajna Chakra, was shattered. My eyes were a mess, and I gave up, tears of blood flowing from my eyelids.
"Wade-kun...! No more...! You're already exhausted, even at home...! "
"Ah, sorry Ice. But I understand"
My second heart, the Anahata Chakra, repaired my eyes. And I told Frain.
"Frain, I understand. The Puppet Master's true suffering is regret. That guy regrets creating Protean"
'Uriel, what do you think?'
'That's right. Then what is the fate?'
I was at a loss for an answer. I thought about looking away, but everyone around me was staring at me intensely. No more excuses, their eyes said.
But Frain laughed at Uriel's question, his nose twitching.
'That's already decided. He'll die by my hand. That's his fate'
I was taken aback by his assertion. Uriel replied.
'That's right. Then strike the 666th wedge. If you do, your enemy will follow the path of fate'
I switched to clairvoyance. When I looked, Uriel had spread the wings and vanished.
Frain called out to the ring, saying, "That's it."
'Wade, your work wasn't bad. Keep supporting me. Kadras, Sylvia. From now on, I'll carefully decide our strategy and take on our enemies. Protect me'
'Damn it, I have no choice. I'll take care of that your protection, as usual, brat.'
'Having a stupid leader makes the team suffer'
"Did you say something?"
''Nothing''
They exchanged their usual banter, and Frain stood up.
'It's the final push. Don't slack off!'
''Roger that!''
The Rebellion Flame began to move.
