Volume 4 Chapter 29 Heroes Of The Crystal
The Crystal Heavy Warrior was strong.
I never thought I would face an opponent with my iron lump sword and engaging in a proper sword fight. Swinging a huge mace, they matched me blow for blow.
The Crystal Magician was formidable too.
I never imagined there would be enemies forcing Sandra to defend and flee. The overwhelming magic emanating from countless shining crystals was nothing short of a saturation attack.
The Captain of the Crystals was powerful.
Just when I thought my sword was wavering, they delivered a powerful blow to my iron lump sword in an instant. It took both of us to take them down. Swift and cunning, they stood before us.
But We overcame them all.
Increasing the weight of the Heavy Warrior, I repeatedly struck with my iron lump swords on their armor. They were strong, but they shattered under the impact of their own weight and the iron lump sword.
The magician's saturation attack also ran out of steam in a few minutes. It was Sandra's turn then. She used her speed to corner the magician for escape and then shattered them with exploding lightning.
As for the captain, we used teamwork. I applied Weight Increase to the Captain, striking repeatedly, while Sandra pierced them with lightning from behind.
And there we stood before the door.
"...Let's go."
After a break, only 5 hours remained. We didn't know how intense the battle would be, but with 5 hours, time wasn't a concern.
I touched the door. Just like before, with a grinding sound like a millstone turning, the large door opened automatically.
Inside, unchanged, there was him, just as before.
"...You again."
Seated on the throne, he was surrounded by dazzling crystals, clad in crystal armor himself.
"You are the first to appear before me twice."
He stood up. Under his slicked-back blue hair, the eye that had been closed opened. Crystals peeked out from under his eyelids.
"I am Eiosnight. Entrusted with defending bases in numerous dungeons, I have never let a single one escape. Let me clear that stain here."
Eiosnight looked at us.
"Where are your companions?"
"It's just us."
"Hmm... underestimating, but you have the eyes of the strong. Eyes like those who mock dungeons, embodying injustice."
Eiosnight glared at us.
"Eiosnight, the Master of Crystal. I respect that you have stood before me twice, so let's face each other."
Eiosnight swung both arms. In each hand, unnoticed, four crystals were held between his fingers.
"Come. Lion, Fairy, Dragon, Giant."
The crystals in his right hand shattered. They turned into glittering powder floating in the air, transforming as Eiosnight called.
"Equip. Staff, Sword, Armor, Shield."
The crystals in his left hand shattered. The powder drifted around the summoned monsters, the lion biting the staff, the fairy wielding the sword in the air, the dragon donning the armor, and the giant holding the shield.
In response, we also took our stances. Right hand forward, left hand on the hip, my half-body stance like in martial arts.
Sandra did the same. She mirrored my stance exactly, as if in a reflection.
And then, we chanted. The mantra for activating chakra.
"'Brahma'"
"'Indra'"
Chakra activated. My second heart began to beat, and Sandra's infant awoke.
Both sides were ready. The tension between us grew taut.
Eiosnight readied a sword in his right hand, a staff in his left, and an automatically deployed shield around him, and said,
"Come, humans. Consider it an honor to shatter within this radiance."
Crystals appeared, mirroring our right arms, and shattered. It was a power that sealed Transformation Magic.
At that moment, Sandra's form blurred. She dodged it. Even from the sidelines, it was incomprehensible, and I chuckled to myself, wondering what was going on.
On the contrary, I took the hit directly, but it was no problem. The Anahata Chakra immediately recovered from the magic's effects.
"Hahaha. So it seems it no longer affects you, you mocker."
Eiosnight laughs confidently. I responded with a smile.
"Yeah, he's a good teacher, after all. If I ignore his personality and training methods."
"From the perspective of us, his disciple, that's everything."
"What a joke."
Eiosnight said with a smirk. Then he withdrew his smile and spoke.
"First, let's see if you have the qualifications to fight me directly. Strike and shatter. Heroes of the crystal."
The fierce attacks came.
The lion roared. In response, the brilliance of the crystal gathered at the open mouth, turning into a thick beam of light aimed at us.
Fairies flew in. They swiftly approached us, wielding countless floating swords in the air to attack.
Dragons flew in the sky, breathing down fire upon us from above. The sheer size of the dragon made its assault a threat in itself.
Giants lagged behind, heading towards us. They held their shields, ready to resist without allowing any opposition.
I said,
"Leave the interception to me, Sandra. You're faster than me."
"Understood."
Immediately after,
Sandra placed her hand at the fairy's throat.
"!?"
"Spark."
The fairy was charred by the exploding lightning, turning into charcoal. In that moment, I intercepted the lion's beam and dodged the dragon's flames.
Next, Sandra targeted the dragon. She dodged the falling flames from the front. What an unfathomable evasion ability. Siddhi passed right through the attack that should have been unavoidable.
It was Sandra's Hara (lower abdomen). The unborn child. It was the Swadhisthana Chakra.
"Wade. Aim the sword at the dragon."
"Got it!"
I wielded the iron lump sword and threw it with all my might. Influenced by gravity magic, the iron lump sword pierced the dragon's armor.
"Electromagnet, Thunderbolt."
Sandra wrapped the dragon with electromagnetic force around the iron lump sword. Then, she unleashed lightning from the dragon's belly. One strike wasn't enough. If it's not enough, add more.
"Thunderbolt, Thunderbolt, Thunderbolt."
The dragon, covered in tough scales and armor, should have been invincible. However, Sandra persistently attacked the same spot.
The dragon writhed, spewing flames to drive her away, but Sandra didn't retreat. She didn't take any hits.
Instead, she relentlessly struck the dragon with lightning.
"Thunderbolt."
The armor distorted, scales shattered. Finally, Sandra unleashed a new magic, not thunderbolt.
"Thunderstorm."
Sandra touched the exposed skin of the dragon, now devoid of scales.
And then, thunder struck.
The epicenter was from Sandra's palm. The storm of lightning burned the dragon while scorching everything around it.
"Wow, incredible. The Crystal Castle is screaming."
Eiosnight was approaching me, but before that, a giant was closing in. To Sandra, who gracefully evaded from the falling dragon, I said,
"I'll crush the giant. Please treat the lion."
"Got it."
Sandra transformed into lightning and swiftly attacked the lion. Roaring back, the lion fought back. But the current Sandra was too much for the lion.
Meanwhile, I faced the giant. It approached with a wall-like shield, aiming to crush me with relentless force.
I glared.
"You're just a warm-up. I'll shatter you with one blow."
I held the iron lump sword behind me. I exhaled. The Anahata Chakra surged through my entire body.
Now, let's liven things up.
"Point Shift, Weight Increase, Weight Reduce."
I took a strong step forward.
The impact resounded through the throne room.
The giant's body, along with its shield, was shattered by the iron lump sword right in the middle. The crystal shattered, and the giant screamed silently.
The giant then shattered the ceiling, and the debris scattered by its force destroyed the throne room.
The ground shook. As I wondered, "Huh, does the Anahata Chakra really enhance this much power?" Eiosnight laughed.
"Kuhahaha! Not satisfied with just crushing giants, now you crush the Crystal Castle too! ---Alright, I'm excited. I'll crush you all directly and add you to the ranks of my Crystal Heroes!"
A bright blue flash burst from Eiosnight's hand. It made the collapse of the Crystal Castle in the throne room even more certain. As the rubble crumbled, we fell further down.
