Chapter 51 Uh-Oh, Something'S Up At Home!
I, Leaf Chemist, cleared the Abyss Wood dungeon.
Before heading back to the capital city, I visited my hometown, Dead End Village, which is next to the Votslak territory.
Granny and the others welcomed me, and we entered the village.
The houses are spaced far apart!
There are cows, horses, and other livestock!
This is the countryside! It feels like coming back home.
"Hey, Mercury-jou. Are these cows of the ox-headed breed? And these horses, are they Horse-headed breed... the heroic flying cows and horses!?"
"Yes, you're right, Tai-chan... Be careful here, things are a bit glitchy..."
While patting the cows and horses, I head to Old Man Arthur's house, who is the village head.
It's just an ordinary single-story house like you see everywhere!
Hmm, the door slides open automatically.

From my elderly old man, I receive a hug.
Ah, it brings back memories. I used to train, and each time, I would get a big hug from him.
"Th-this old man...did he use teleportation?"

Mercury-san is the grandchild of Old Man Arthur and Granny Merlin.
"You look exactly like your grandmother when you were young."

"Hey, old man, I'll kill you, you hear me?"
Wow, they're both getting along so well!
Just then, Granny Merlin comes back from outside.
"Oh my, what are you all loitering around this entrance for?"
"Granny!"
There's a slight burnt smell coming from Granny.
"What were you doing?"
"That stupid old man was trying to invite Leaf-chan to our house...cough, I mean, discussing with the villagers."
Come to think of it, there was a bit of a commotion when we entered the village.
We were told to go ahead, so I don't know what happened afterwards.
"Leaf-chan, you should take it easy and relax today to recover from your journey."
"Thank you!"
We enter Granny's house.
Aaah, it's so cozy...
"Wait a minute!!!!"
"What's wrong, Tai-chan?"
Tai-chan is pointing at the floor.
"The floor! Why is the floor moving...!"
"Huh? Doesn't the floor move?"
"It shouldn't move...! That's not normal!"
"I always thought it was weird that the floor in the capital city doesn't move..."
"This is abnormal!!!!!"
Huh? Is that so.
I've never been anywhere other than the capital city and here, so I don't know.

"Yeah... if I stay here, I'll go crazy..."
