Chapter 144 Morning Routine
I, Leaf Chemist, wake up.
It's still early, before the sun rises.
I get out of bed, stretch, do some warm-up exercises, and then leave the room.
"Huh? Mercury-san?"
"Oh, Leaf-kun?"
In the living room, Mercury-san is reading a book.
"What are you doing?"
"Oh, just reading. I was looking something up and before I knew it, it was morning... Hey, the sun hasn't even risen yet."
It's only 4:30 now!
It's definitely still dark outside.
"Leaf-kun, do you wake up this early every day?"
"Yes! I have to take care of the vegetable garden."
"Vegetable garden... You've been doing gardening?"
"Yes! Ever since I was adopted by Priscilla-san."
"Oh, I see..."
Mercury-san yawns.
"I'll go too."
"Huh? Why?"
"Just to wake myself up with a walk."
"I see...!"
So, I left the workshop with Mercury-san.
It's been getting a little colder recently.
I can feel the approach of winter.
"Mercury-san, aren't you cold in that outfit?"
She's dressed a bit provocatively.
It looks so chilly with that sheer outfit!
"No problem. I have magic that keeps the temperature constant."
"I see! That's amazing!"
"Why does it sound sarcastic when you say it to me..."
I'm not being sarcastic, so it's all good!
