Chapter 39 The Spirits Are Doting And Powering Up
I arrived in the Votslak territory, which Orokan govern.
The damage caused by the increasing number of monsters is spreading.
The scars of the attack are still visible in the village. I have treated the injured. Next, I will start healing other parts.
"I will now... repair the broken houses."
"But can you really fix houses? Leaf-kun is a Pharmacist, right? Isn't medicine supposed to work only on living things?"

I unload the wooden box I am carrying.
This is a magic bag made by Granny Merlin, which can literally store an infinite amount of things magically.

Tai-chan, the human version of the Behemoth, tilts her head.

Tai-chan told me to look around.
Green light balls, like fireflies, were gathering in countless numbers.
"This is...I'm sure I've seen it somewhere before...that's right. It's the light balls that appear when I talk to medicinal herbs!"
"You can see spirits, my lord."
"Spirits...?"
I stared at the points of light.
Then, I could see a small doll wearing a green dress floating in the sky.
"This cute doll?"
"Yes, it's a spirit."
Wow...cute. Spirits were perched on my shoulders and head.
Sometimes they would kiss me or rub against my cheeks. But I couldn't feel their touch. It's strange...
Countless spirits would come over and kiss me, or try to get my attention.
They seemed like adorable puppies in a way.
With a poke, the spirits happily increased their size. Whoa, what's going on...?
"Hmm? Mercury-san, what's wrong?"
Without a word, she reached out her hand.
"Here, a headache remedy (elixir)."
Before Mercury-san could retort, she swiftly snatched the elixir I made from my hand and gulped it down in one go.
"What's wrong? You're unusually quick today, Elixir."
"IT'S ALL YOUR FAAAAUUUUUULT!"
Mercury-san retorted energetically.
Yeah, that's more like her.
"How dare you talking to spirits like it's normal?"
"Well, they're visible, and... cute, so... is something strange about that?"
"That's way too weird! Spirits aren't visible to normal people! Being able to see them is what's weird!"
Eileen-san's eyes sparkled as she applauded.
"Being able to see spirits, as expected of Leaf-sama~♡ But why can you see them?"
"When I cleared the hidden dungeon before, I received the Eyes of the Spirits from the Yggdrasil spirits."
"What! Clearing a hidden dungeon! Truly remarkable, Leaf-sama!!"
Eileen-san praises me excessively. I don't really think I'm that amazing, though.
Now that I can see spirits...
They're taking herbs out of my bag without permission.
"Hey, don't take things without asking."
Shining with green light, they dance over the broken buildings of the village.
It's almost like a ball hosted by the spirits.
"It's beautiful..."
Eileen-san says in admiration, while Mercury-san's eyes widen in surprise.
"Hey, Leaf-kun, look at that!"
"Oh, the buildings are getting repaired... it's the effect of [Repair Potion]."
Strange, I haven't made any Repair Potions yet, and I haven't administered them with the Divine Healer Staff either.
Yet the places where the spirits stop are quickly being fixed.
"No way..."
"Do you understand something, Flat-chest?"
"Useless breasts... the spirits are making medicine and administering it to Leaf-kun."
"The spirits themselves! That's... unbelievable."
"Yes, it's true... unprecedented..."
Mercury-san trembles in fear, while Eileen-san is astonished.
"Uh, did I... do something wrong? Maybe..."
Pop! Mercury-san's forehead veins bulge, and she silently extends her hand.
I hand her the elixir.
Mercury-san drinks it down roughly.
"After all, it's the world's best Healing, right?"
Instead of Mercury-san, Tai-chan retorts.
You hear people say it's the best in the world. It's handy.
"Let me explain, Leaf-kun. Spirits, you see, don't usually befriend humans."
"Huh, really?"
Even though they're really fond of me.
Everyone's all rubbing and kissing me like crazy.
"First off, humans can't see spirits. After a long practice, you can barely see them. Communication is almost impossible."
"Yes, most magicians use the power of spirits. To get them to use their power, we use inconvenient commands called spells and offer something called magic power, and finally we can use magic."
Maybe because Eileen-san trained under Granny Merlin, she seems knowledgeable about magic.
"But hey, I haven't used any spells or magic power, yet the spirits just do things for me on their own."
"Yes! That's weird! It's unusual for spirits to lend their power without asking for anything in return!"
"Unusual... does that mean they're doing something bad?"
"It's like super-duper amazing on a dangerous LEVELLLLLLLLLL!"
Mercury-san was once again holding her head and making mysterious movements.
Tai-chan nodded with a proud look on her face.
"Spirits want to be liked by my Lord, so they compete with each other to do things for my Lord's benefit."
"But why am I liked so much?"
"It's probably related to the pure magic power leaking from my Lord. What my Lord possesses has a greener smell than anyone else's."
Hmm... it's difficult. There are so many words I don't understand.
But well, it's a fact that these green spirits like me.
So, it seems these kids went ahead and made medicine for me on their own.
"Thank you, green spirits!"
The spirits smiled brightly in response.
"W-WHATTTTTTT?! WHAT IS THATTTTTT!?"
A huge number of green dots covering the sky... spirits are coming this way.
In the spirits' hands, various medicinal herbs were held.
"It seems they have gathered medicinal herbs on their own for my Lord..."
"As expected of Leaf-sama!"
"Automatic potion generation, automatic herb collection, how much more cheating are you GOING TO DOOOOOO?!!"
Mercury-san holds her head in distress.
